Must see Griffintown

As spring and summer roll into town, Griffintown’s lively ambiance makes it the prime destination to spend an entire fun-filled day, whatever the weather. With its many parks and restaurants and ideal location along the Lachine Canal, it’s hard not to fall in love with Griffintown! Here are a few of our favourite places to visit in your new or future neighbourhood.

Indoor and Outdoor Activities

The Lachine Canal

Starting with the gorgeous Lachine Canal seemed like the obvious choice. Whether on bike, on foot, or stand-up paddleboard, you’ll love exploring this beautiful waterway.

Good to know: At the Lachine Canal Nautical Centre, you can rent boats to enhance your canal experience: electric boats, SUPs, pedal boats, and even 13-seat voyageur canoes!

And what better way to cap off a day by the water than with a refreshing post-paddle beverage? Stop by one of the many bars or restaurants along the canal for a well-deserved break.

Atwater Market

For us, Atwater Market is iconically Montréal. And it’s also the only place in the city where you can get a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a famous steamed bun from Satay Brothers, and a delicious doughnut for Léché Desserts, all in one spot.

Whether you’re simply window shopping or getting groceries, Atwater Market is truly worth the detour.

Bradley Ertaskiran Gallery

Love contemporary art? Always on the lookout for new artists? Well then, a stop by the Bradley Ertaskiran Gallery is a must!

Located on Payette Street, the gallery specializes in contemporary and experimental art. Come discover works from up-and-coming Canadian and international artists who are already making a name for themselves in various media including sculpture, painting, photography, and video art.
